It was a big weekend for Black history at the box office. The highly anticipated action film "Red Tails," produced by acclaimed director George Lucas, hit theaters with an all-Black ensemble cast -- a first for a big budget action film of its kind.

The movie follows the true story of the Tuskegee Airmen who fought in World War II and overcame discrimination and incredible odds. A host of talented cutie-pies were tapped to take on these historic roles. The standout cast is led by Oscar-nominated actors Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Nate Parker, and singer Ne-Yo.
