British singer Adele has never been shy about her love for the late Etta James. Most recently the Grammy-nominated singer praised James in a Cosmopolitan Magazine interview, saying: "My favorite singers are Etta James and Aretha Franklin. If you were to look up the word singer in the dictionary, you'd see their names."
