'The Help' Earns 8 NAACP Image Award Nominations
The 2012 NAACP Image Awards were announced today and "The Help" leads the pack with eight nominations, including Outstanding Motion Picture.

Actresses from the film also collected most of this year's nominations. Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer were nominated for Best Actress and Best Supporting actress while their co-stars Cicely Tyson, Bryce Dallas Howard and Emma Stone also picked up nods for their performances.

The film's director, Tate Taylor, also picked up two nominations; Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture.

On the music front, divas Jill Scott and Beyonce earned four nominations each. The ladies will be going head-to-head in the Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Music Video, Outstanding Song, and Outstanding Album categories.

BET's hit series "The Game" earned four nominations as well, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series. The show's lead actor Pooch Hall landed a nomination for Outstanding Actor while his lovely co-stars, Tia Mowry and Wendy Raquel Robinson, earned nods for Outstanding Actress.
