Herman Cain Suspends Campaign for Presidential Nomination

Cain drops White House bid amid accusations of sexual misconduct.

White House hopeful Herman Cain has suspended his presidential campaign amidst accusations from a handful of women claiming that he engaged in sexual acts with them.

"As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign," Cain said at an Atlanta rally today.

"I am disappointed that it came to this point, that we had to make this decision," Cain continued. "I am suspending my presidential campaign because of the continued distraction, the continued hurt caused on me and my family. Not because we are not fighters."

The announcement comes less than a week after a female acquaintance of Cain's, Ginger White, alleged she had a 13-year sexual affair with Cain.

Cain made the decision to suspend his campaign after a meeting last night with his wife Gloria Cain who joined her husband on the stage as he made his announcement today. Cain repeatedly denied repeated claims of sexual harassment and an affair.

"I am at peace with my God. I am at peace with my wife and she is at peace with me," he said.

Do you think Cain made the right decision in suspending his campaign?
