Steve Harvey Plans to Retire from Stand-Up Comedy

Steve Harvey made a special announcement yesterday that he's leaving stand up!

Steve Harvey is shaking things up! The mega popular comedian announced yesterday morning on his radio show that he will be retiring from stand-up comedy.

The news comes as a shock to many who've loved and adored Harvey for his stand-up routine. He's best known for appearing on the "Kings of Comedy" tour alongside Bernie Mac and Cedric the Entertainer.

According to EURweb, Harvey said his last routine will be at next year's Hoodie Awards -- try getting a ticket for that show now!

He broke the news when a listener emailed and asked if he was quitting his radio show after hearing rumors. Harvey responded, "This is my Jamaican background. I don't quit no job. No sir. That's not me."

He's currently the host of "Family Feud" and is developing a comedy show with talk show elements for NBC. Not to mention his New York Times Bestseller, "Think Like a Man, Act Like a Lady," is being turned into a feature film starring Terrence J., Taraji P. Henson, Regina Hall, Michael Ealy and Kevin Hart.
