“I’ve always felt a sense of responsibility to utilize the power I have behind the radio microphone to serve a much greater calling to help our communities,” Sherrod wrote on her blog, Egypt Said So. “The goal for the ‘Egypt’s Give Back Tour’ is to inform the public of how we all have an opportunity to make a difference. Something as small as a gently worn or unused coat or a new toy [can bring] someone happiness for the holidays.”
The tour will span across six locations in the New York and New Jersey area from Monday November 28th through Saturday December 3rd. At each site, toys, clothing, and coats will be collected to support the charitable efforts of New York Cares, Jersey Cares, Toys 4 Tots, and The Children’s Aid Society this holiday season.

Last year’s “Egypt’s Give Back Tour” touted celebrity appearances by “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss and actress Malinda Williams.
Kudos to Egypt for showing that sharing really is caring this holiday season!
