British soul singer Adele is going through a tough time.

After suffering a vocal hemorrhage and being forced to cancel concerts left and right, she will now undergo throat surgery on her vocal cords, reports The New York Times. Her remaining 2011 tour dates have also been cancelled, though fans can rest easy knowing she is expected to make a full recovery.

Adele’s latest album “21” has bee a fixture on music charts this year and earned her loads of accolades and award nominations.

R. Kelly also suffered a vocal hemorrhage this year and as you can see from his latest single success, he recovered just fine.
