Lee Daniels to Executive Produce 'Valley of the Dolls' for NBC

"Precious" director Lee Daniels will work alongside Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope to write and direct the new NBC series, "Valley of the Dolls" -- based on the 1966 bestseller written by Jacqueline Susann.

Daniels will also serve as the show's executive producer.

"Valley of the Dolls" follows the highs and lows of the lives and careers of three best friends over the span of twenty years.

Sounds like a great show, and given Daniel's many talents, we're sure he's going to take this story to new heights on the small screen.
