Your daily report from NYFW on what's haute now.
The fourth day of New York Fashion Week celebrated one thing: sheer power! From downtown designers like Timo Weiland to established icons like Tracy Reese, it felt like nearly ever collection featured sheer panels, prints and pieces of some sort. Read on to see what other trends prevailed yesterday.
Colors: Traditional spring colors prevailed yesterday as designers like Diane von Furstenberg and L.A.M.B sent bright bold colors down the runway. So too did prints which took a turn for the fab yesterday with Tommy Hilfigers gorgeous plaid and camo prints.
Shapes: Lady-like-lengths are becoming more than just a cool siting on select runways. In Day 4, it is obvious that they are a full blown trend as designers like Adam Lippes continued to send chic, knee-lenth dressed down the runway. We especially loved the shapes at Zac Posen who went for full throttle glamour with his beautiful gowns.
Fabrics: Chiffon and sheer panels continue to rule the season. Yesterday, designers served it up in fun floral prints and pleated the fabric for added effect and movement.
Where You'll Wear Them: Well, where won't you? From Posen's gowns to DVF's gorgeous floral print jumpsuits to Tracy Reese's gorgeous sheer dress, there were as many styles of dress as there are places to wear them.
