NYFW Trend Report: Day 2

Your daily report from NYFW on what's haute now.

Day 2 of New York Fashion Week was as sophisticated as it gets. From the figure flattering knee length dresses at Costello Tagliapietra to the gorgeous, eclectic trench coats at Nicole Miller the pieces were all about grown-woman chic. See what other trends prevailed during the shows!

Rich, luxe hues like merlot and marines were plentiful. Many designers also chose to craft pieces in black - a surprising color choice for a season which is traditionally uber colorful.

Shapes:  Think lady-like-lengths. From Nicole Miller to Costello Tagliapietra it was all about knee length dresses that were as sophisticated as they were sexy.

Fabrics: Lots of mixed fabrics. Some designers overlapped sheer fabrics with light weight leathers while others celebrated the female body with sultry, body hugging jersey.

Where You'll Wear Them: Meetings and moments that matter! From power lunches to important family functions, many of the clothes we saw on the runway on day two are all about your grown woman style and moments.
