It hasn’t even been a week since Beyonce and Jay-Z broke the news that they’re expecting, and it looks like the little one may already have a godfather.

Jay’s Watch the Throne bandmate and close friend, Kanye West, is overjoyed by the baby news and tells friends he’ll have the much coveted honor when the child is born, reports The Sun.

“He’s been saying he’s going to be godfather and is absolutely thrilled,” a source tells the newspaper. “It will be a huge honor for him.”

We bet! No word yet on whether mommy and daddy-to-be have signed-off on this, but judging from how close they are, it’s certainly a possibility. Jay and Kanye have a number-one album out, and are currently on tour.
