Sean Kingston Had Open-Heart Surgery After Jet Ski Accident

The R&B singer describes his condition after his jet ski accident as a "life or death situation."

Sean Kingston says his Memorial Day accident was much more serious than anyone thought, including his doctors. He required open-heart surgery after his jet-ski accident.

Kingston sat down with MTV First where he described the moments after his crash, and how doctors discovered he had a torn aorta and had to perform emergency surgery to repair it.

The 21-year-old describes his condition as a "life or death situation." He also suffered broken ribs, a shattered wrist and water inhalation.

But all is well now, he adds. Kingston says he feels "100 percent" better.

It's good to know he's back, and healthy.
