‘Basketball Wives’ Star Jen Williams Files Divorce Papers

If you’re a fan of VH1’s "Basketball Wives," you've already spent two and a half seasons listening to star Jennifer Williams try to work through her issues with estranged husband Eric Williams.  

Well, you won’t be hearing much more about that. It looks like Jennifer has finally had enough fighting. She filed divorce papers on Friday in Hudson County Superior Court in New Jersey, TMZ reports.  She’s going after her half, too. Court documents show that Jen is requesting alimony and an “equitable” distribution of their assets. One thing they won’t be splitting is parenting duties; they never had kids.

The doomed couple were married in a beautiful destination wedding in the Bahamas in 2007. This spring, in the season three opener of "Wives," we learned that Jen had begun taking the first step toward healing. She got her own place and was beginning to think more positively about the situation. During the first two seasons, Jen received a lot of flack from fans for holding on to a “failed relationship." She was often labeled needy and desperate by show fans.
