After a stint in rehab, the soul crooner makes his long-awaited return.

El DeBarge is ready to make his comeback at the ESSENCE Music Festival next week. This will be Debarge's first concert since he suffered a drug relapse and returned to rehab this past February.

DeBarge relapsed shortly after releasing his latest album, "Second Chance," stemming from his 25-year battle with cocaine.

"Second chance means I can stand here, talk to you and have the blood running warm in my veins. I can think clearly. I can feel joy, laughter, love and even embrace all my struggles with a sober mind," said DeBarge. The '80s heartthrob will indeed have a second chance at EMF next week, where he'll perform live on the main stage. With classic hits like "I Like It" and "All This Love," DeBarge had the entire Superdome rocking.

We can't wait to see what he has in store for the ESSENCE Music Festival.
