Boyz II Men, who'll be performing at this year's ESSENCE Music Festival, want to wish you a happy birthday. This week the harmonizing threesome lent their voices to the American Cancer Society's campaign for more birthdays during National Minority Health Month. The guys are now in the company of Rihanna, Usher, Sean Kingston, Celine Dion and Darius Rucker, who've all filmed their own "Birthday" renditions.

The Philadelphia group agreed to help raise awareness as statistics show that African Americans have higher death rates and shorter survival than any other racial and ethnic group in the U.S. for most cancers. Minority Health Month is a tool for the American Cancer Society to raise awareness about the impact of cancer in our communities and to encourage individuals to take action. This can be as easy as eating a healthy diet and getting recommended screenings that will help reduce the risk of cancer.
