Every day we feature the beloved “Strawberry Letter” franchise that is so popular on “The Steve Harvey Morning Show,” heard nationwide. Send in your letters and Shirley Strawberry will dish out the necessary advice. Today’s topic: He won’t take no for an answer Hello I am a 27-year-old woman who has her own home and transportation, pays own bills and is a single mother of a 9-year-old girl. I do not bring around males friends or my relationships around my daughter unless I feel something that can come from them. Anyway, I have a guy who says he is 35 (I know he is actually between 39 and 45.) who works for my company as a contractor, but not a full-time employee. He has been a nice guy. We have gone out a couple of times. He told me he is married with two girls and the youngest daughter is not his. So I understood his situation and advised him that we can be only be friends with no string attached. Well over a three-week period he has tried to find a way to see me, take me out to lunch or out of town. I have taken him up on some offers. This past weekend he tried to convince me to give him more than the friendship — be that mistress. Well, at that time I bluntly told him that if he wanted more from me that he needed to move forward and discontinue our friendship. I told him I would not be the reason to end a marriage at my or any cost, when I also want a family of my own. He would not take no for an answer and felt that my no meant yes. I feel that we cannot talk face to face anymore, because he is not hearing me out. I texted him that we could not continue this friendship because I would be misleading him. Well he is still not taking no for an answer and still texts me. I don’t respond to them but I did text him “Please stop texting me.” He is still texting me when he thinks he can find a reason. So what should I do?
