Read Our Live Chat: 'The State of Black Women'
What do Black women really want? What do we consider success? And how do we get it? The September 2010 issue of ESSENCE breaks down "The State of African American women" with an in-depth survey that reveals how we view ourselves and the differences between our generations. For example, 70 percent of Black women identify themselves as "spiritual" and 46 percent of Black millennials are most likely to be satisfied with their sex lives. On Sept. 22, we took it one step further with a live chat on the state of Black women... Lawyer turned celebrated author and producer Tonya Lewis Lee, attorney and CNN /truTV legal correspondent Sunny Hostin, Carol's Daughter entrepreneur Lisa Price, Marsha Haygood, co-author of "The Little Black Book of Success: Laws of Leadership for Black Women," and the ESSENCE.com community came together to discuss where we are and where we want to go as Black women.
