Street Style: Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum
On the first Saturday of each month, hundreds gather at the Brooklyn Museum for a fun mix of music, art and street style. The August event focused on Haiti and the neighborhood's Haitian community. A dance troupe performed, a scholar held a seminar, a master drummer brought the crowd to their feet, and a Brooklyn-based DJ rocked a Carnival-style party with compas, soca and calypso.
