Desiree Rogers Talks New Job and White House Tenure

Former White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers has been keeping a low profile ever since she stepped down from her position amid last year's State Dinner gatecrashers scandal. Rogers quietly moved back to her former stomping ground, Chicago, and took a position with the Johnson Publishing Company. In her first public interview since the event, Rogers spoke with MyFox Chicago about her new job and her tenure at the White House, which she says came with a level of scrutiny she never expected. Asked why she has avoided the spotlight, Rogers said she wanted to stay focused on things that are important, saying, "I felt that there was no need of [sic] talking about the past but really making certain that when I do speak I'd have something to say that was valuable."
