" franchise that is so popular on "The Steve Harvey Morning Show
," heard nationwide. Send in your letters and Shirley Strawberry will dish out the necessary advice. Today's topic: His mistress wants to be friends
Dear Morning Show,
I have never done this before, but I am extremely dumbfounded by what has recently happened to me. I was married to a man in the army who cheated on me for a long time. Like most women, I tried to make it work going to counseling with our pastor and just trying to keep my family together. He cheated and of course a child was brought into this world in result of that, the child is a year younger than mine. Mind you, he has two other children so that makes four. I filed for divorce and went on with my life. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the women who helped him ruin my family requested we be friends due to us having children from the same man. I can't help but ask, "are you insane?" Yes, the right thing would be to say, "OK, I forgive you and we can forget it ever happened," but how do you do that when you were in my home, knew of me the whole time and still did what you did? With all that being said, how do I handle this? Do I accept it and put it behind me or do I continue to ignore her and not bring up the old mess. Thanks so much for your time.
