It is summer time and women in mini skirts and shorts are showing off their toned bare legs. John L. Casti's research reveals that short skirts can be a predictor of a nation's economic and political prosperity, according to a report in the Daily Express. Casti states in his new book, "Mood Matters: From Rising Skirt Lengths to the Collapse of World Powers," that social features, such as, rising hemlines and happy, upbeat songs on the radio are signals to the nation's overall optimism. Stylist.com also writes that Casti says that these signs are positive indicators in financial and political areas. In the same interview Casti shares, "All social events ranging from trends in pop music and art to the outcome of elections and even the rise and fall of great civilizations are biased by the attitudes a society holds to the future."What do you think?
