Today Marks Coretta Scott King's 82nd Birthday

Coretta Scott King was one of the most iconic women in the Civil Rights movement. Today, she would have turned 82 years old. Born in Marion, Alabama, she graduated at the top of her high school class. Later the aspiring singer received a B.A. in Music and Education from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and then moved to Boston, where she earned a degree in Voice and Violin at Boston's New England Conservatory of Music. She met Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., in Boston, who at the time was studying for his doctorate in Systematic Theology at Boston University...
