Hello Steve and Shirley, I am a 42 year old single female.I go out often and one evening I was in a local lounge. I was approached by a nice gentleman, he asked me to dance, he brought me a drink and before the evening was over, we knew we had chemistry. He asked me for my number and if we could go out another night. Anyway, while talking about ourselves and getting to know each other I realized he was a guy that used to date my sister almost 30 years ago. I was 15 and she was 20. They dated for about 6 to 8 months and that was it. My sister is now 47, married and very happy. I have to say, I didn't recognize him and he didn't recognize me. I was a child and have changed a lot since then and he never really hung out in our home for me to really know him. Although at that point I already liked him and was looking forward to getting to know him, I told him that I could not see him anymore. He also was very disappointed and kept saying that his relationship with my sister was a long time ago and that shouldn't stop us from getting to know each other. He calls me often and asks me out but I am very hesitant. I like him but I feel that this is wrong. Am I doing the right thing by not seeing him? Or should I give him a chance? I haven't told my sister. Should I bring it up to her and see what she says? Help Steve and Shirley!
