ESSENCE.com contacted Kristin Heaton, an adoptive mother of two Haitian little girls, who flew over from the devastation in Haiti on the U.S. Military C-17 that landed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. The flight--which transported 53 Haitian orphans and garnered attention from around the world--was made possible by President Obama's decision to relax some of the red tape surrounding adoption laws to save more Haitian children.
