RT @AuntB: @AnnaHolmes It needs a spark, but in an old building, those are easy to come by. Someone flips a light switch, heat kicks on, so?
...or can a significant buildup of gas combust on its own without a separate accelerant? (If that's the right word.)
Can someone explain to me how a gas leak becomes an explosion of that size? Does it require a strong open flame? Is a tiny spark enough?
