Wouldn't it be nice to have a stylist-to-the-stars at your disposal to get you ready for the festive holiday season and all of the travel? Well, we're hooking you up with June Ambrose, celebrity stylist and author of 'Effortless Style.' Here she reveals her six must-haves for the season.
Her fashion words of wisdom: "Remix the pieces you already own with what's new. Your staples become second skin and the accessories are your crown jewels."

"The greatest thing is the return of the jumper--especially in a jersey knit. They are so versatile and they are perfect underneath a jacket. For the holidays it all comes back to versatility. During the day, wear the jumper with a lace up the front boot. For night, go for heels and jewelry."
2. The Shoes to Wear: A Pair of Jewel-Toned Pony-Hair Pumps
Look for texture in a classic pump. You won't need a lot of extra on the shoe. Too much embellishment makes it too identifiable to a particular season or year. You want it to be timeless, so you can wear it year after year. Try velvet too--it plays good day or night.

For travel, you want a belt that plays well underneath your coat. You don't want a big, massive, wrestling style belt. That's a very heavy trendy piece. Look for one that works over the coat as well as under. It really cinches your waist.

You need a funky scarf. A cashmere one will last and you can do so much with it day or night. Here's one of my tricks: Take a super long scarf, loop it once around your neck, then belt it at the waist--genius!
5. The All-Star: A Strapless Dress
A black strapless dress is essential. Wear it with tights during the day and at night go with bare legs. You just put some shimmer on those legs and you're good as gold!

Last season brooches were worn on the chest and jacket. Now they've come off the lapel and onto tams, scarves everywhere! Brooches wrap up well and travel well. They can instantly turn an evening black dress into something very festive.
