First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a practice competition for students at the Department of Energy auditorium on Thursday. Ten students were preparing for a high-stakes regional Science Bowl competition. "We can't transforms our energy future unless we transform our education system," Obama said to the audience of longtime DoE employees. "Particularly when it comes to math and science." The First Lady then led the Maryland seventh and eight grade students in a mock competition. "I'm like Alex Trebeck," she said. "Secretary [of Energy Stephen] Chu is like my Vana White."
