Terri White: From Homeless to Broadway
What a difference a year makes for theater veteran Terri White. This morning she woke up to a rave review from prickly New York Times critic Ben Brantley, who says the musical comedy actress delivers her solo spot "Necessity" in the revival of "Finian's Rainbow" "with burly gusto and wry flair." It's an astounding comeback, especially since Ms. White, 61, a featured performer for the 80's Broadway musical "Barnum," was "evicted from her apartment of 14 years" and slept on park benches, according to the New York Times. Luckily for her and us, she's back doing what she does best six nights a week at the St. James Theatre.--PHB
