From a rural village in Haiti to the global spotlight, multiplatinum artist and producer Wyclef Jean plans to share his story in a memoir through It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins. Jean will pen the book with Anthony Bozza, a best-selling author and Rolling Stone writer. The yet-to-be-titled memoir will document his childhood as a preacher's son, rising in the ranks of hip-hop with The Fugees, a successful solo career and his humanitarian efforts in his homeland. "I am so happy to share my journey which took me from the hut to the projects to the mansion," says the Grammy Award-winning artist.--NH
