Comments
Grammy-winning artist R.Kelly will take stage for a first time in Africa with a performance during the inaugural ARISE Africa Fashion Awards on June 20. Kelly's performance will end Africa Fashion Week, which began June 12 and is presented by ARISE magazine and produced by African Fashion International (AFI).

Africa Fashion Week is known for launching the continent's most talented designer's careers, and this year one designer will get the chance to present at New York Fashion Week in the ARISE Africa Rising Show in September. The awards ceremony will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A panel of fashion insiders and experts will present awards to the designers and models. Former First Lady of France Cecilia Attias will deliver the keynote address, "The Promise of Africa."
