Here we go again. A Republican legislative aide sent out an inappropriate e-mail portraying President Obama as “two cartoonish white eyes peering from a black background,” and the chairman of Tennessee’s Democratic Party wants him fired, according to CNN.com. The e-mail, which shows the 43 U.S. presidents and ends with the image, was sent to other GOP staff members and posted on the Internet June 15. The administrative assistant to state Senator Diane Black, R-Gallatin, admitted that she sent the e-mail with the title “Historical Keepsake Photo” to the wrong people. “I want to be sure that everyone knows that the (e-mail) was sent without my knowledge…it absolutely does not represent the beliefs or opinions of my office,” Black said. The White House has not responded as of Tuesday afternoon.—Shavon S. Greene
