A group of African-American pastors in the Detroit area are gunning for the Salvation Army after claims that officials asked a pregnant woman and her three children to leave one of their homeless shelters after she was found possessing Tylenol, according to The DetroitNews.com. The Salvation Army’s Macomb’s Answer to Temporary Shelter or MATS has strict rules and regulations when it comes any drugs or alcohol but would not comment on why they asked the woman and her children to leave. The woman, who is six months pregnant and was using the medication to treat her child’s fever, is now staying at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church until she finds other arrangements.—WLW
