Unhappy Skies: Black Leaders Question Delta on Diversity

Atlanta civil rights leaders expressed their concern about the Delta Air Lines' commitment to diversity in its overall workforce. Civil rights leaders such as Rev. Joseph Lowery of the Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda and Rev. James Milner of the Chapel of Christian Love Baptist Church have been meeting with top executives at Delta to discuss their concerns, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

However, Delta officials say that Delta CEO Richard Anderson's top priorities is to increase diversity within its ranks and across the board; they pointed out that almost half of Delta's new executives consisted of minorities and women.—CO
