All good things come to an end—even when you are the Queen B. Last night, Lil’ Kim’s supreme reign on “Dancing With the Stars” ended when she was asked to leave the dance floor in a shocking elimination.
Despite enviable weekly high scores from the judges and scoring 6 points higher than cowboy Ty Murray, the petite rapstress was booted. Len Goodman, the head judge commended the Brooklyn lyricist by acknowledging that she “has been one of the best dancers” in the show’s eight-season history.
Still, Kim was gracious upon her departure, saying, “This is one of the greatest experiences of my life” and noting that she exposed the show to a new audience of “people who never watched the show.”
Gilles Marini, Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Ty Murray will continue to bust a move on the dance floor in the semifinals, which airs Monday, May 11, on ABC.—KNB
