President Obama has invited former NFL coach Tony Dungy to join the White House faith-based advisory council. The acclaimed coach retired in January and served under President George W. Bush on issues regarding civic participation. Dungy, the best-selling author of “Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life,” was the first African-American NFL coach to win a Super Bowl when his Indianapolis Colts beat the Chicago Bears in 2007. —CJ
