Health Study: Black Teens Becoming More Bulimic

We sometimes think of eating disorders as a "White girl's issue," but according to a new study with teens in California, Ohio and Washington, D.C., Black teens or teens from low-income families are 50 percent more likely to suffer from bulimia than their White counterparts, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Experts say the shocking numbers may be a result of a lacking sensitivity to the disorder and lack of health insurance in many African-American homes.—CJ
