S.C. Governor: See How He Wants to Spend Stimulus Money


Mark Sanford, the governor of South Carolina, believes using the $700 million allocated to his state from the federal stimulus act should be used to help pay off their state bills rather than pay to improve state programs and services, according to the Associated Press. Sanford sent lawmakers a letter stated that he plans to ask President Obama if he can use the money to help pay off some of the $20 billion they currently have in liabilities.—WLW
