NPR: Trying To Keep the Airwaves Diverse

Don’t think that people of color will be ignored on National Public Radio now that “News & Notes” is coming to an end.  NPR CEO Vivian Schiller acknowledges the channel's downfall in diversity across the board and shares their dedication to better representing all backgrounds, according to the Maynard Institute. In December 2008, the channel announced the cancellation of popular news programs that focused on Black America and the termination of key Black players in the organization.–CJ
