Black women have moved to higher grounds and we mean that literally: The first all-Black female crew—from pilot to attendant—completed a flight with Delta Airlines, according to NBC in Atlanta. By chance the captain, one of only ten Black female pilots in the country, was joined by another Black woman as First Officer, when the original second in command became ill. Both flight attendants were Black women on the flight from Atlanta to Nashville.—CJ
