Why Black Children Are Absent From Health Studies

The pain of the Tuskegee Experiment seems to linger on in the minds of the Black community, as Black parents are much more skeptical of medical research than their White counterparts, according to U.S. News and World Report.  In general, both races have a positive outlook on medical research, but when it comes to distrusting the actual procedures, African American parents had higher numbers. This results in statistics on American children inaccurately representing Black children, who are less present in these studies. CJ
