The NAACP is once again putting Madison Avenue to the test. The nearly 100-year-old civil rights institution is spearheading a project to evaluate levels of racial discrimination against African-Americans in the advertising industry, according to BusinessWeek.com. The Madison Avenue Project will put pressure on advertising agencies to improve their diversity findings in areas such as income, recruitment, and promotions.—WLW
