Black women make up only 1 percent of senior officers in corporate America—a statistic raised in a new study which finds that our inability to network and gauge our talents may be to blame, according to the Associated Press. The Executive Leadership Council, a group for Black business leaders, surveyed 150 executives on why so few Black women made it to the top of their industries. Finding mentors, taking risks and utilizing feedback were also given as tips for Black women to advance.
