African-Americans: Target for Unhealthy Food Ads

We've all seen that McDonald's TV ad revamped into an R&B music video and it makes sense. Studies show that the food ads targeted to African-Americans which are shown on television and printed in magazines are mostly low in cost and nutrition. Research done by the American Journal of Public Health revealed that fast food ads were shown more during shows geared to African-American audiences than general-audience programs.
