Lyricist Lounge: Black Woman to Read Poem at Inauguration

Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet Elizabeth Alexander has been tapped to read one of her works during President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration on January 20, according to the Washington Post. The Yale University professor was a year old when her parents took her to the March on Washington and will join soul legend Aretha Franklin, among others, on this historic day.
