At the request of Florida Governor Charlie Crist, law enforcement agents are investigating more than 30 unmarked graves recently uncovered at a makeshift cemetery near the now defunct Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys. The 108-year old school, a reform institution for male juvenile delinquents, was known for rampant severe abuse in a small, white building known as the White House, where guards would not only beat the Black boys but beat the white boys for talking to the Black boys, according to the Associate Press. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is working to find out what was in the graves, identify any remains and determine if crimes occurred.
