Presidential hopeful Barack Obama might have a good chance to turn one red state into a blue one. As a new ripple of Independents and Moderates make their way into North Carolina, it’s possible that this politically predictable state might surprise many pollsters, reports the Charlotteobserver.com. In fact, polls have showed Republican candidate John McCain and Democrat nominee Barack Obama have been running neck and neck there in the last two weeks. Ferrel Guillor, director of the Program on Public Life at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, said “newcomers have everything to do with that state being in play.” He also said that Obama has a chance because the state has been so dynamic over the last few decades.
