Fans who anticipated seeing Janet Jackson on stage in Montreal on Monday were disappointed after hearing the show had been cancelled. Jackson, who fell ill during a sound check for her Rock Witchu Tour, was rushed to the hospital before going onstage.
The “Control” singer has not performed in Montreal in seven years and announced in a statement issued by her publicist that she was disappointed that her fans had to miss out.
Jackson, who is touring with rap legend LL Cool J, informed fans to hold on to their tickets. She plans to reschedule the show, as well as Boston (October 1) and Philadelphia (October 2) dates, to accommodate for the unfortunate circumstance. The tour will resume in Greensboro, North Carolina, this Saturday.
