McCain, Obama Collaborate on Bailout Plan

Comments

President hopefuls Barack Obama and John McCain set differences aside to assist President Bush with a $700 billion bailout plan. The presidential candidates, along with lawmakers and Congress leaders, met with the Commander in Chief on Wednesday afternoon for a crucial conference at the White House. The Bush administration will only receive a portion of the $700 billion upfront to assist unstable financial institutions, preventing them from further harm and monetary damage. Earlier this week, McCain vowed to suspend his campaign and hoped to postpone Friday’s debate with Obama to focus on the country’s economic crisis.
