Heavyweights from music, politics and sports joined together in New York
City for Knock Out Poverty, a special event to support the All For Africa
charity, whose goal is to target poverty in Africa. Hosted by BET’s Jeff
Johnson, last night’s event featured appearances by Grammy-winning singer
Angelique Kidjo, former Miss Universe Mpule Kwelagobe, actor Jeffrey Wright
and several African heads of State. The event brought together those who
have a firsthand, active interest in designing and coordinating economically
sustainable projects in Africa.
